Wayland artist part of gallery exhibit at Fountain Street Fine Art

Wayland Town Crier 2/1/11: Wayland artist part of gallery exhibit at Fountain Street Fine Art. Fountain Street Fine Art, a new art gallery located at 59 Fountain St. in Framingham, celebrates its grand opening with a group show juried by Katherine French, the director of the Danforth Museum.

The exhibition will be on view from January 27 to February 27. Gallery hours are Friday to Sunday, 11am-5pm.

An opening reception and celebration will be held on Saturday, February 5 5-8pm and is free and open to the public. Background music for this event will be orchestrated by the group Second Story, a three-piece band based in Holliston.

Juror Katherine French selected 117 pieces from over 220 works of art submitted by 80 artists for Fountain Street Fine Art’s first show. The exhibition includes works in a variety of media – including painting, sculpture and photography – by some of the most talented artists in the region, including artist Becky Kisabeth Gibbs of Wayland.

Fountain Street Studios has over 70 working artist studios, most of which are open to the public annually in April for Open Studio Weekend. The gallery will show exciting new work by artists within Fountain Street Studios and throughout New England. Exhibitions will change regularly.
