Wayland Patch 6/2/11:  Rep. Conroy of Wayland Announces U.S. Senate Candidacy.   Tom Conroy becomes fifth candidate for 2012 U.S. Senate seat. State Rep. Tom Conroy (D-Wayland) is throwing his hat in the 2012 U.S. Senate race according to an announcement posted on his website.  According to the announcement, posted today by Jon Saxton, who the Patriot Ledger is reporting has been tapped to run Conroy’s campaign, the campaign’s theme is “Your Voice in the U.S. Senate.”   Conroy joins a pool of challengers for incumbent Republican Sen. Scott Brown’s seat. Other candidates include Marisa DeFranco, Bob Massie, Setti Warren and Alan Khazei.
