Wayland selectmen violated Open Meeting Law, AG says

Boston Globe 6/23/11: Wayland selectmen violated Open Meeting Law, AG says. The state attorney general’s office says the Wayland Board of Selectmen should be fined $1,000 for intentionally violating the Open Meeting Law when members discussed appointments to a town board before the start of a posted public hearing last summer. The conversation about candidates for the Historic District Commission took place in hushed tones among the four members present, and was recorded and broadcast by the local-access cable television station.
