Touch a Truck, Saturday, September 24

Wayland Recreation welcomes families to its 6th annual Touch a Truck event on Sat., Sept. 24, at the Wayland Middle School grounds, 201 Main St. (Rte. 27) from 10am to 1pm. Last year we had over 2,000 in attendance. This is a FREE event so bring your relatives and out of town friends. Kids ages 1 and up love this event.

The Department of Public Works, Fire, and Police will present Wayland’s snazziest trucks–12-wheeler dump trucks, clanging fire engines, screaming police cars, back-hoes, ambulances, gang mowers, and more for fascinated children and adults.

In addition to the trucks, knowing how kids love trains, we have a new addition to the event this year, the “Roaming Railroad” which will take families for a ride around the grounds. We will also have 5 huge inflatables , face painting, a performer making balloon creations, and more.

Amazing Rob, the Magician, will perform from noon to 1:00pm. NY Life will be on site from 10:30am to 1:00pm with their Child I.D. Program to make sure children remain safe by fingerprinting them and taking their photo and presenting parents with an I.D. card and CD.

Please join us for this totally free event thanks to the generous local business sponsors who will be present with fun handouts to introduce themselves to families. If you would like more details, please call 508-358-3660.
