News and Updates from the Wayland Library

LIBRARY SERVICES IN AUGUST
The library will be open with regular hours during the renovations. There will be limited services for adults in the Raytheon Room but full service in the Youth Services Department as that department will operate as usual. Although there will be no physical access to the upper floor library collections during the renovation, users will still be able to pick up reserved books and DVDs, reserve and pick up museum passes, return books to the library, read daily newspapers in the downstairs hallway, ask reference questions, and use the photocopier. We anticipate that the repair work will be complete by the beginning of September.

NEEDLEWORK GROUP
We expect that our needlework group will resume meeting on Thursday, October 13, at 10:00 a.m. It’s a group for quilters, decorative sewers, and knitters to socialize, work on hand projects (no machines), share ideas, and explore resources.

FARMER’S MARKET STORYTIMES
Wednesdays in August from 2:30-3 p.m. kids can join Youth Services Librarian April Mazza for songs and stories at Russell’s Farmer’s Market. All ages welcome.

ART EXHIBIT SPACE AVAILABLE
Calling all visual artists! The library has two nice wall spaces available for art exhibits: the upstairs foyer and the Raytheon Room. If you are a visual artist of any kind who has work that can be hung against a wall, contact Jim Zebrowski (508-358-2311) at the library to book one of our spaces.
