Internships available in the office of Sen. Richard Ross

Wayland Town Crier 8/12/11: Internships available in the office of Sen. Richard Ross. Internships for college students and recent college graduates are available during the fall with the office of State Sen. Richard Ross, R-Wrentham.
Intern duties include corresponding with constituents, researching legislation and gathering news clips.
Interns will be given flexibility to focus on a subject of interest, such as health care, or a skill area, such as communications. Internships are unpaid, but they present a great opportunity to learn about state government. Sen. Ross and his staff will work with students to gain credit where applicable. “This is a great opportunity for young people to gain real world experience in state government,” said Sen. Ross. “Interns in my office will take on real challenges and will be expected to complete various tasks in a timely and professional manner.”

If a college student or recent graduate is interested, they are encouraged to send their resume and cover letter to Communications Director Erin Hearn (Erin.Hearn@masenate.gov). Preference will be given to candidates from the district, which includes the town of Wayland. All interested applicants are encouraged to apply.
