Wayland Town Crier 10/20/11: Committee continues to work toward proposal at Dudley Pond. An advisory committee is continuing to try to find common group on the fate of a 7-and-a-half acre parcel of town-owned land on the east side of Dudley Pond. The Dudley Area Advisory Committee welcomed back consultants from Tighe & Bond last Wednesday night to assess the first two public “charrettes” held so far and figure out the next steps before the committee brings a proposal forward to the Board of Selectmen. Among the common themes discussed by residents at the first charrette in June were preserving the 7-and-a-half acres around Pond Drive and Curtiss Road as open space, creating a septic field to help homes around the pond with failed septic systems, and improving public access to Rocky Point at the end of Doran Road.
