Wayland Town Crier 12/12/11: Wayland resident earns highest advancement rank in Scouting. Jacob Tanger (J.T.) Bachman of Wayland was honored and received his Eagle Scout award, the highest advancement rank in Scouting, on Nov. 25 at the Boy Scout (Troop 1) Scout House in Wayland. He is a 2011 graduate of Wayland High School and a freshman at the University of Vermont. He has been in Scouting for 12 years and completed his Eagle Scout project this past July. His project was to create a walking trail for the community and the visually impaired behind the Parmenter Community Health Care Center in Wayland.
