Town of Wayland 3/24/12: WayCAM Public Hearing – Wednesday, March 28 at 7:00 p.m.. In accordance with Section 4 of the memorandum of agreement between the Town of Wayland and Wayland Community Access and Media Inc. (WayCAM), the Board of Selectmen will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. in the Large Hearing Room of the Wayland Town Building, 41 Cochituate Road.
The purpose of this annual hearing is to review, for advisory purposes only, WayCAM’s operating and capital budgets, compliance with provisions of the agreement related to public access service, including insurance coverage, equipment purchased in the prior year, and the results of the peer review conducted in the past year. WayCAM’s primary source of operating and capital funding are payments from Comcast and Verizon pursuant to cable television license agreements and from a fee assessed to all Wayland cable subscribers.

Residents are encouraged to attend and to offer comments regarding WayCAM’s performance in 2011. Members of the WayCAM board of directors will be available to respond to any questions relative to finances or operations.
