Police alert on Car Break-Ins

Wayland Police are investigating a rash of burglaries to motor vehicles that occurred during the overnight hours of Friday, June 15th. All of the vehicles that were entered had been left unlocked overnight by their owners. Residents on Russell Road, Old Connecticut Path, Davelin Road, Emerson Road, Wallace Road and Richard Road all reported that one or more of their vehicles had been entered.

It appears that the perpetrators were looking for small items, cash and credit cards. Also stolen was a pair of sunglasses and an I-Phone. Police ask anyone that may have observed anything in the area during the overnight and early morning hours of June 15th and June 16th to contact detectives at 508-358-4721.

Residents are reminded to secure their vehicles when they are unattended. In this case, only unlocked vehicles were entered.
