Wayland High Football Coach Wins Jim Griffin Award

Wayland Patch 7/13/12: Wayland High Football Coach Wins Jim Griffin Award. Wayland High School football coach and dean of students Scott Parseghian received the Jim Griffin Coaching Award during the Wayland Boosters Spring Awards ceremony in June.

The Wayland Athletic program wanted to create a symbol and blueprint of how a coach should act, lead and carry the legacy of our own late Jim Griffin.

Griffin, a longtime guidance counselor at WHS, lost his battle with pancreatic cancer in early 2012.
