Update on Wayland High School building project

The Wayland High School Building Committee is scheduled to meet on Thursday, August 16 at 7pm in the School Committee conference room.

At the High School, the site work is nearly complete with all parking lots paved and striped. Work continues on hardscape and plantings in the courtyard between the North and South buildings. Tree, shrub and grass planting are complete near the visitor parking area at the main entrance. Work continues on a few remaining items in the buildings and parking lots.

John Moynihan, the town's public buildings director, reports, "We have reached the point where it is safe to allow access to the site for events held on the fields. As of August 1, 2012 the fields are open for business. Thank you all for your patience and cooperation during the past 24 months."

The Wayland High School Ribbon Cutting and Dedication is scheduled for Thursday, August 30 at 10am in the Commons (North Building). Tours of the new High School will be offered after the ceremony. The community is welcome to attend.
