Why Wait? Why and How to Talk With Your Child About Drugs and Alcohol With Joani Geltman and Wayland High School Students

Wayland High School students will present data and discuss what the culture of drug and alcohol use is in Wayland. Joanie Geltman will then discuss why it is important to start talking with your children now about drugs and alcohol and how to do so in a developmentally appropriate way.
 
Joani Geltman, an expert in the field of Child Development and parenting has been working with parents, children, universities, schools, and private and public companies for over 30 years. Ms Geltman has developed a course especially designed for parents on understanding their child's cognitive and emotional and social development. This popular course has been offered at many private and public schools and for community groups. Adolescent Psychology-The Parent Version is in great demand at schools and community groups all over Massachusetts.
 
This program is for parents, guardians and other caregivers with students in grades four through seven.
