Effective 11/20/2012, a traffic restriction, approved by the Board of Selectmen, will take effect on Mitchell Street. Vehicles will be prohibited from entering Mitchell Street from West Plain Street between the hours of 6:00 A.M. and 9:00 A.M. on weekdays.
This restriction is necessary due to the high volume of cut-through vehicles that were counted using this street and King Street during these hours. An adjustment has been made to the traffic signal at West Plain Street and Main Street to facilitate traffic flow during weekday morning hours.
Wayland police will conduct routine, random, traffic enforcement to insure compliance with this new restriction.
