Golden Tones chorus photoGolden Tones chorus celebrates its Silver Jubilee and Wayland’s 375th with a special concert on June 16 at 3:00 p.m. at Wayland High School. Together with Wayland Middle School Select Chorus, and Wayland resident WBZ-TV’s Todd Gutner as Master of Ceremonies, this will be a wonderful afternoon of musical entertainment, perfect for Father’s Day, with costumes, dancing, lights, and comedy. The post-show afterglow features the swing sounds of Sudbury Valley New Horizons Jazz Band (Diane Muffitt’s players) and sweet treats! Don’t miss the barbershop quartet in the “lobby” before the show!

Golden Tones chorus is a Wayland-based nonprofit arts organization that for 25 years has provided a creative endeavor for retired people who take their music into the MetroWest community, 50 shows per year, serving over 2,000 people, many who would not otherwise have live music in their lives (nursing homes and other senior residence and health facilities). Our work also involves multi-generational audiences and school-age children.

For tickets and information, please visit www.goldentones.org. >(A portion of the proceeds from the concert will go to the Wayland Council on Aging as an anniversary gift for 25 years of weekly rehearsal space.)
