Traffic mitigation slated for Glezen Lane in Wayland

Wayland Town Crier 7/15/13: Traffic mitigation slated for Glezen Lane in Wayland. Additional speed tables will be installed within the next month in compliance with the terms of the settlement agreement brought by residents concerned about “cut through” traffic on Glezen Lane. Thirteen residents brought suit against the town seeking protection against the possibility that citizens accessing the Wayland Town Center mixed-use development from Route 126 and areas northeast of Glezen Lane would use Glezen Lane, Moore Road or Bow Road, rather than the Route 126/27 intersection that was signalized for the project.

Wayland Patch 7/16/13: Good News or Bad News? More Speed Tables on Glezen Lane. Wayland’s Board of Selectmen discussed at its recent meeting the legal requirement to install new speed tables on Glezen Lane. More details of that installation have now been released. According to an announcement on the Town of Wayland website, the additional speed tables will be installed within the next month. The tables are a result of a settlement agreement on a suit brought by 13 residents concerned about cut-through traffic resulting from Wayland Town Center.
