Musicians and dedicated music fans, and anyone else who enjoys the Chateau’s warm atmosphere and live music, can now hear a revolving variety of musicians every first and third Wednesday night of each month. On any given night, folk music, rap, classic rock, blue grass, jazz, Irish Traditionals, and original music may be performed by the soloists and duos who have come from as far away as Maine for Open Mic. Musicians who participate find playing at the Chateau a fun venue, with a receptive and appreciative, if not always quiet, audience, and a friendly tavern atmosphere.
The host of Open Mic keeps the energy flowing, accompanying vocalists as needed, and often calling on performers later in the evening for an ‘encore performance’. A professional quality Bose L1 sound system, with microphones, mixing board, and music stand are provided. Musicians need only bring their instruments.
