Wayland Patch 11/20/13: Wayland Voters Approve Lincoln Road Conservation Deal. Wayland special town meeting voters, in a 527-61 vote on Nov. 20, approved spending $2.4 million on a restriction that would prevent future development on a 23-acre parcel on Lincoln Road. The approval means the town will spend $2.4 million in Community Preservation funds to purchase a conservation restriction on the land that would prevent any future development on the site and preserve it as open space.

Wayland Town Crier 11/21/13: Wayland voters OK conservation of Lincoln Road Fields. Voters at Wednesday night’s special Town Meeting endorsed purchasing a conservation restriction on 22.6 acres of open fields and meadows bounded by stone walls in north Wayland, a property known as Lincoln Road Fields. The transaction will be underwritten with $2.4 million from the town’s Community Preservation Act (CPA) fund. The vote was 527 in favor, 61 opposed, easily surpassing the two-thirds majority requirement.
