Wayland Town Crier 1/3/14: Wayland Scoutmaster praised as baton passed. At the Court of Honor at the Cochituate Scout House on Dec. 18, the ceremony included the transition from Peter Bachman to Thomas Kemper as new scoutmaster for Troop 1 Cochituate. In his address to the parents and scouts in the room, Bachman articulated the attributes of a good leader – compassion and the importance of forgiveness and kindness in everyday life – in the hope that he demonstrated those attributes to the boys in the troop.
