Schools announce finalists for High School Principal position

The Selection Advisory Committee has been hard at work in the search for Wayland High School’s new principal. Committee members reviewed resumes, selected semi-finalists, and conducted interviews. I am happy to report that they have narrowed the field to three strong finalists. Each candidate will be visiting Wayland High for an entire school day in order to provide numerous opportunities for staff, parents, and students to meet them, learn of their skills and experience, and ask questions. In this manner, the candidates will also gain a feel for our school and community.

We will be encouraging anyone who wishes to offer their impressions and preferences to complete a brief feedback form on each candidate. Parent meetings will be held from 7:45 until 8:30 A.M. each morning. At that time, the visiting candidate will introduce him or herself and parents will then be able to ask any questions they may have. The schedule for student and staff meetings with the candidates will be posted separately.

The three finalists are as follows:

Tamatha Bibbo – Ms. Bibbo is currently the K-12 Director for Service Learning at the American School in London. She previously served as the Assistant Principal at Needham High School, as the Assistant Principal at Franklin High School, and as an English and public speaking teacher at Franklin High School. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Boston College, as well as a master’s degree in educational technology from Framingham State.

Brian Harrigan – Mr. Harrigan is currently the Assistant at Westwood High School and previously served as a social studies teacher at Gonzaga College High School in Washington, D.C. He also has administrative experience working in healthcare consulting firms. He received his bachelor’s degree from Amherst College, a master’s degree from the Catholic University of America, a master’s degree in public policy from Georgetown University, and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Educational Leadership from Boston College.

Allyson Mizoguchi – Ms. Mizoguchi is currently the Assistant Principal of Wayland High School. She previously served as a high school English teacher in Wayland and in Brookline. She received her bachelor’s degree from Stanford University and her master’s degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
