School Committee publishes School District Borders and Buffer Zones Map

The following was distributed by the Wayland School Committee:
The School Committee would like the community to know that the proposed school district borders and buffer zones for the Superintendent’s recommended elementary school reconfiguration model are posted online at the following link:  http://www.wayland.k12.ma.us/UserFiles/Servers/Server_1036352/File/Superintendent/Building%20Use%20Task%20Force/Proposed_K5_2-3-4_School_District_Map.pdf
Most students will go to the school defined by the school district borders, although a few may be assigned to different schools if they live in a buffer zone.   The School Committee plans to continue its discussion and will vote its recommended model to be included in the FY15 budget at its meeting scheduled for February 10, 2014.

As always, we appreciate any feedback you may have.

We would also like to thank the Town’s GIS Department for its help in  developing the map posted online.
