Wayland Town Meeting votes not to approve Minuteman agreement. Current and former selectmen huddled before the start of the fourth and final night of Town Meeting Thursday night as news leaked that William H. Jones Jr., the man selected to be the next town administrator, has backed out. The Board of Selectmen voted unanimously on March 26 for consultant Municipal Resources Inc. to enter into contract negotiations with Jones, replacing Fred Turkington who was fired without cause by the selectmen last August.
