AG rules in favor of Wayland School Committee this time

Wayland Town Crier 5/8/14: AG rules in favor of Wayland School Committee this time. One week after the Wayland School Committee was fined $1,000 for violating the Open Meeting Law, the Attorney General’s office this week ruled in favor of the committee in another complaint by attorney George Harris. On May 5, Assistant Attorney General Mark M. Higgins of the Division of Open Government wrote that the School Committee did not violate the law by creating and expanding a bargaining team to work on union contracts in executive session.
