The Foundation for MetroWest Spring Inspiration Breakfast

The MetroWest Spring Inspiration Breakfast was held on Thursday, May 1 at the Wellesley Country Club with Keynote Speaker Julie Toskan-Casale of MAC Cosmetics. Over 200 women (and some men!) attended the event from Wayland and surrounding MetroWest towns. Keynote Speaker, Julie Toskan-Casale was instrumental in establishing MAC Cosmetics, one of the cosmetic industries biggest success stories. At the event, Julie discussed her transition from running MAC to establishing the Youth and Philanthropy Initiative (YPI) of the Toskan Casale Foundation, which has enabled young philanthropists to donate millions to charities and is currently run in over 200 schools across Canada, the UK, and New York City. Similar to YPI, the Foundation runs a local Youth in  Philanthropy program through which over 900 MetroWest students have donated nearly $700,000 to local nonprofit organizations.  Co-chairs of the event were the Lessers, Pam (mother) and Anna (daughter).   Anna Lesser is currently participating in the program and had the unique opportunity to speak about her experience at the breakfast.
