Baseball Historian Herb Crehan: “BOSTON BASEBALL HISTORY”
(1871-2013), TUESDAY, July 8, 15, 22, 29 10:30am-11:45am
Register for the “series” (4 classes) for $20 or $6/class. Slides, historic photos and more! It’s the story of professional baseball in Boston starting with the first game of the Boston Red Stockings (predecessors of Boston Braves). Each class is a period in Boston Baseball History (1871-1903 and their victory in the first World Series. Then it’s 1912 to the late 1930s with the opening of Fenway Park and more. July 22 will be 1946-mid 1970s including Ted Williams and the 1975 World Series. The last class concludes with the 1980s-2013 with the heartbreak of Game 6 , 1986 World Series. Also Wade Boggs, Roger Clemens and highlights of the 2004, 2007, 2013 World Champions.
*Herb Crehan is a recognized authority on Boston baseball history, author, publisher and speaker with appearances at Baseball Hall of Fame in NY.

Join the growing ukulele trend! Ukuleles are easy to play and inexpensive to purchase ($50 or less). No music experience required. It’s lightweight and only 4 strings. Always wanted to play an instrument? Register for the free “try it” class. No instrument needed on 6/11. Beginner instruction will start on Wednesdays in August , 10:30am. (August session: 4 classes for $10 or $3.00 per class). Bring your own uke in August. All level players welcome.

Learn how a forecast is put together and the technology used to receive weather information. If a severe thunderstorm or tornado warning is issued, what immediate action should you take? Plenty of time to ask your specific questions.
Hayden Frank loved meteorology from a young age. A graduate of Penn State with a degree in Meteorology, he joined the National Weather Service after graduation. Although born in Philadelphia, Hayden’s special interest is snowstorms!
