AG rules against Wayland board on Open Meeting Law complaint

Wayland Town Crier 8/27/14: AG rules against Wayland board on Open Meeting Law complaint. The state Attorney General’s office has issued its fourth ruling in four months on Open Meeting Law complaints against the School Committee, all of which have originated from local attorney and former selectman George Harris. On Friday, Assistant Attorney General Mark. M. Higgins wrote the School Committee violated the Open Meeting Law by failing to review executive session minutes at regular intervals to consider whether to release them to the public; by failing to respond to Harris’ request for executive session minutes in a timely manner; and by failing to include sufficient detail of various discussions that took place in the executive sessions.
