New COA proposed at Wayland Town Center

Wayland Town Crier 8/28/14: New COA proposed at Wayland Town Center. The Council on Aging is seeking to renovate the day care center at the former Raytheon site – redeveloped into the Town Center – for use as a new COA and community center. “As long as there’s no municipal function at the Town Center, it’s just a shopping mall,” said COA Board member and architect Bill Sterling, during a recent presentation to Recreation Commission. “What we’re shooting for is something that could change that. Take an existing building, renovate it, and make it the beginning of a multipurpose community gathering space that could house the COA and be used for other functions as well.”
