The Wayland Recreation Commission is showing its support of a proposed rail trail in Wayland by taking responsibility for maintenance once the project is completed, specifically by mowing and periodically refreshing the stone dust. “We have all the approvals we need,” said proponent Larry Kiernan of Wayland. “We just have to go out to bid, but it may be too late for this year. We’ll definitely do it in the spring.”
