Parenting has been described as “the hardest job you’ll ever love”. Children come to us without instructions and so we are left to navigate the waters of child rearing on our own. Or are we? Mom to Mom is a Biblically based program for mothers of all ages and is designed to educate, encourage and support women as they fill the most important job in the world – parenting. How do we do this? We offer talks on topics relevant to parenting today, assign each mother to a supportive small group led by experienced mothers, and host a few fun workshop days to encourage connection among participants. Some of our fall topics include:
- Freeing Kids from Roles: What’s in a Name? (Jo-Anne Bleuer, speaker)
- Money Matters: Spending, Saving, Sharing (Lisa Pucket, speaker)
- How to Help Our Kids with Body Image in Our Media Saturated World (Dossie Kahn, speaker)
Mom to Mom is lead by Program Director, Tonya Peck, of Wayland. Tonya moved to Wayland 9 years ago with her family and has been attending TCC and Mom to Mom ever since. Starting as a small group leader, she has been on the Mom to Mom planning team for the last 3 years. The leadership team also includes Alynda Foreman of Wayland (Program Administrator), Krista Lane of Wellesley (Group Leader Coordinator) and Kristin Neprud of Wayland (Outreach Coordinator).
