Parenting students can be stressful.  When to keep trying harder, when to accept limitations, how to balance the needs of the student with those of other family members, and how to be good to oneself-these and other parenting adventures can be very challenging.  Rob Evans will lead a discussion of ways to care for ourselves so that we can keep caring for others.  Dr. Evans is a psychologist and the Executive Director of The Human Relations Service, Weston’s private, non-profit community mental health agency.  A former high school and pre-school teacher and a former child and family therapist, he has worked with schools and families in Weston and across the country for thirty-five years.  His presentations are known for their lively wit and plain talk.  He is the author of many articles and three books, including Family Matters: How Schools Can Cope with The Crisis in Childrearing.
