Wayland Town Crier 8/21/15: Wayland man drowns in Adirondack river during vacation. A 50-year-old Wayland man drowned while swimming in an Adirondack river with his family on Monday, according to New York State Police. Troopers said Thursday that Dale Calverley of Wayland was swimming at the base of Buttermilk Falls on the Raquette River in the Hamilton County town of Long Lake, 95 miles northwest of Albany.

Wayland Patch 8/18/15: Dale Calverley of Wayland Passed Away on Vacation. Dale Calverley of Wayland reportedly passed away unexpectedly while on vacation with his family this week. He leaves behind three children and his wife, Jen. Condolences load the Facebook page of Calverley, who friends referred to as the “Fix It Clown.” Calverley was a graduate of Algonquin Regional High School in Northborough and worked at Solave.
