Did you ever wonder what the Talmud is? Join Rabbi Katy Allen of Ma’yan Tikvah – A Wellspring of Hope and the One Earth Collaborative in a welcoming interfaith setting to learn about why people spend their lives studying Talmud. The first class will provide you with an overview of the history and structure of the Talmud. In the second and third sessions, you will dip into the “Sea of Talmud” for a taste of the delights and depth of Talmud study. All texts are in English. No prior knowledge is needed. This class is supported by a grant from the Combined Jewish Philanthropies Metrowest Jewish Community Grant Fund and is co-sponsored by Common Street Spiritual Center, Ma’yan Tikvah, and One Earth Collaborative, a project of Open Spirit – A Place of Hope, Health, and Harmony. Nonmembers: $40-$60 for 3 sessions; Members: $30-50; more if you can, less if you can’t. RSVP to mailto:info@oneearth.today.
