Wayland High School Athletic Department seeking volunteers for Athletic Advisory Committee

wayland high schoolThe Wayland High School Athletic Department is forming an Athletic Advisory Committee (AAC) and is looking for interested participants.

The AAC is a group of people representing the many interests in the Wayland High School athletic program.  The responsibility of the group is to provide guidance and recommendations to the Athletic Director and High School Administration on a wide range of issues pertaining to the Wayland High School Athletic Program.
Typically, the AAC will meet a minimum of three times a school year, at the end of each season.
The AAC will be comprised of:
  • The Wayland High School Athletic Director;
  • A member of the Wayland High School administrative team;
  • A member of the Wayland School Committee (appointed by the School Committee);
  • Four Wayland High School student athletes, two male and two female (appointed for two years by the Athletic Director);
  • Two teacher/coaches representing male and female teams (appointed for two years by the Athletic Director);
  • Two Wayland High School parents representing a diversity of athletic programs (appointed by the Wayland Boosters for a two year term).
Once assembled, it is expected that the AAC will meet this April, May and June.
Student Athletes and Coaches who would like to serve on the AAC should send an email stating their interest to Heath Rollins (heath_rollins@wayland.k12.ma.us).
Parents interested in the serving on the AAC should send their request to the Wayland Boosters President, Maureen Tillett (tillett.maureen@gmail.com).
