Help Shape the Future of Your Library: Take the Library Spaces Survey!

library logoThe Board of Library Trustees invites Wayland residents to participate in a survey that will focus on the physical spaces they would like to see in a library. The survey is an important piece of the Library Planning and Design Study that voters approved last fall and will be used by the Board and Tappé Architects, the study’s design team, to learn what residents want to see in a new or expanded library building. Results from this survey and the one conducted a year ago that focused on library services will be used by the study team to inform their recommendations regarding the feasibility of expanding the current building at 5 Concord Road or building a new facility on another site.

Don’t miss this opportunity to tell us what you would like to see in an expanded or new library building. A link to the survey is available on the Library’s website at www.waylandlibrary.org. Residents are also invited to pick up a paper copy at the circulation desk or to complete the survey on a computer at the Library. The survey is open until May 31, 2016.

We’d also like to invite Wayland residents to attend the Library Visioning Forum on Wednesday, June 8, at 7 p.m. at the Library in the Large Hearing Room at Town Building [note new location] to share their ideas about how a new or expanded library might look and operate.

This is YOUR library, and your input is important. We hope that you will participate! For more information, please contact Aida Gennis, Chair of the Board of Library Trustees, at wgs3155@gmail.com or Ann Knight, the Director of the Library, at (508) 358-2311 or aknight@minlib.net.
