Wayland High School announces new Assistant Principal

The following announcement went out to the high school list serv yesterday from Principal Allyson Mizoguchi:
I am pleased to announce that Mr. James Nocito has joined our team as our newest Assistant Principal.  Jim, who is an accomplished Spanish teacher by trade, has also been an administrator (Assistant Principal, Acting Dean of Students, and Assistant Housemaster) and curriculum leader in a variety of settings.  Most recently, he was the K-12 World Language Supervisor for the Somerville Public Schools, where he oversaw the language program for 1,150 students and taught an AP Spanish Language and Culture course for heritage language students.  Prior to his time in Somerville, Jim spent much of his career just down the road at Lexington High School.
Jim brings a wealth of experience as well as an enormous amount of energy and enthusiasm to his new position.  Participants in the hiring process, as well as his references, spoke highly of his natural ability to connect with all students and his broad experience in supporting teaching and learning.  We are excited to bring him on board!
Jim’s first day was yesterday.  If you are in the office, please swing by to introduce yourself and say hello.

Wayland Town Crier 8/9/16: New assistant principal named at Wayland High. James Nocito began his new job as assistant principal at Wayland High School this week, filling a vacancy left when former Assistant Principal Scott Parseghian became the school district’s new wellness director.
