Police to hold “Prescription Drug Take Back Day”, Saturday, October 22

gotdrugsOn Saturday, October 22nd, 2016, the Wayland Police Department will participate in the “Prescription Drug Take Back Day” sponsored by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency. A Wayland police officer will be on hand from 10:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. to process drugs that are turned in by the public at the Wayland Public Safety Building.

Anyone may drop off prescription drugs at the Wayland Public Safety Building for proper disposal during the four hour time period established by the Drug Enforcement Agency. These drugs will be turned over to the Drug Enforcement Agency for proper disposal.

The Wayland Police Department also maintains a prescription drug drop-off box at the Wayland Public Safety Building where residence may drop off unwanted prescription medications at any time.
