Help Create a Safe New Home

Join the Sudbury-Wayland-Lincoln Domestic Violence Roundtable’s efforts to create safe new homes for survivors of domestic abuse by participating in its annual Shower for Shelters. You can help families transitioning from a shelter to establish a new home by donating new household items. Your donations also help the shelter and transitional housing programs of local domestic violence agencies.

The Shower for Shelters will be held from Monday April 10 through Sunday, April 30. This is the perfect opportunity to make a donation in honor of someone special in your life for Mother’s Day. New unwrapped gifts may be dropped off at the Goodnow Library in Sudbury, the Wayland Public Library or the Lincoln Public Library. Gifts may also be dropped off at the Roundtable’s Libations and Donations free wine tasting event at Sudbury Wine and Spirits, located in Rugged Bear Plaza, 410 Boston Post Road (Rt. 20) in Sudbury, on Friday, April 21 starting at 7pm.

Requested items include: twin size sheets and pillowcases, twin summer blankets, twin comforters, bed pillows, crib sheets, bath towels and face cloths, unscented cleaning products and laundry detergent, laundry baskets, kitchen utensils, flatware, dishes, drinking glasses, and small kitchen appliances. Gift cards are also welcome. For a complete list of requested items, please visit the Roundtable website at www.domesticviolenceroundtable.org.

All gifts collected are donated to clients of REACH Beyond Domestic Violence, The Second Step, and Voices Against Violence
