Sudbury-Wayland-Lincoln Domestic Violence Roundtable

Sudbury-Wayland-Lincoln Domestic Violence Roundtable is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization of men and women incorporated in 1999. The goal of the Roundtable is to raise awareness about the issue of domestic violence through community education and networking and to improve the coordination between public and private services for victims and families touched by domestic violence.

Wayland Buzz Spotlight on October 2 Election to Permanently Ban Recreational Marijuana sales in Wayland

Host Susan Wagner focuses on the special election on October 2nd to permanently ban the sale of recreational marijuana altogether in Wayland. The current moratorium on marijuana sales expires at the end of 2018. Town officials are in favor of a permanent ban, and that’s the subject of the October 2nd election. We’ll look at the data and the pro and con positions with three panelists: Steven Hoffman, Chair of the Mass. Cannabis Control Commission; Dr. John Schuler, Chair of Wayland’s Board of Health; and Jim Borghesani, Principal of a Boston firm consulting to the marijuana industry.
