Metrowest Daily News 12/2/18: Uncertainty over where to park school buses next academic year. School officials may have less than a year to figure out where to park the district’s buses, a critical piece to getting hundreds of students to school every day. The district’s 19 buses, plus a few kept in reserve, are currently parked at a property on Rte. 20 that could become the future home of the River’s Edge affordable-housing development. Special Town Meeting this month voted to spend $790,000 to remove asbestos on the site. It must be cleaned up before developer Wood Partners decides to move ahead with the project. If that happens, construction could start within months, and the buses will need a new home in time for the 2018-19 academic year.
