ADULT PROGRAMS

  • Holiday Gift Guide. Looking for books for your favorite readers?  Stop by the Library and pick up a copy of our fabulous Gift Guide.  It’s chock-full of titles for all ages, hand-picked by crack information professionals (aka librarians).  Perfect for both the impulse buyer and the careful shopper, as well as the person who just wants to know what library book to check out next.
  • Trivia Night at the Library. Start the New Year off with some trivial fun at the Library by joining us for trivia, pizza, and snacks.  We’ll play four rounds of five questions each.  Categories will vary and include current affairs, pop culture, sports, history, science and everything in between. Watch our Facebook page for clues!  Registration is required.  Sign up as a team of 2-6 people, or as an individual to be placed on a team.  Wednesday, January 2, 6-9 p.m.
  • Collage Workshop. Cut! Paste! Create!  Let your creativity loose in our collage workshop. Leader Corey Purcell will give a brief overview of collage as an art form and then we’ll have fun cutting and pasting from magazines and maps.  We’ll provide all the materials, too.  Monday, January 7 at 2:30 p.m.
  • Tell Your Story of Immigration. As we explore themes of immigration and refugees for the coming year’s edition of Wayland Reads (watch this space!), we’d like to hear from Wayland residents who have firsthand experience.  If you would like to share your story in a public program at the Library in March, please contact MJ at mwright@minlib.net or call 508-358-2311.
