Sudbury-Wayland-Lincoln Domestic Violence Roundtable

Sudbury-Wayland-Lincoln Domestic Violence Roundtable is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization of men and women incorporated in 1999. The goal of the Roundtable is to raise awareness about the issue of domestic violence through community education and networking and to improve the coordination between public and private services for victims and families touched by domestic violence.

Starting February 3 on the Wayland Buzz: The Sudbury-Wayland-Lincoln Domestic Violence Roundtable. The Buzz’s guests are Ruth Backman, retired Wayland Police Detective and past president of the Roundtable; Allison Koury, current president of the Roundtable; and Bob Mainer, past president and longtime member of the Roundtable. They will discuss the history and goals of the group; why they joined; the progress made through their 20-year history in preventing domestic violence; the warning signs of domestic violence; and the recent focus on so-called “toxic masculinity.”
