Playbill 2/11/19: Samuel French Announces Winners of ’Razzle Dazzle Competition’ for Chicago: High School Edition. Samuel French, Inc. has announced the ten winning high schools that will receive a royalty-free license agreement to produce John Kander and Fred Ebb’s Chicago: High School Edition. Wayland High School is one of the ten schools.

Created in celebration of Chicago composer Kander’s 90th birthday, the “Razzle Dazzle Competition” asked how students “razzle dazzle” their school community, by demonstrating how musical theatre impacts their lives, inside and outside the school community. The entries were adjudicated by representatives from Samuel French, Right On Cue Services, iTheatrics, and the Educational Theatre Association.

Wayland High School Theatre Ensemble just announced they will be producing the show in the fall.
