It is that time of year when thoughts turn—not to Valentine’s Day or even St. Patrick’s Day—but to Town Elections and Town Meeting. Candidates are seeking signatures, boards and committees are approving budget requests, and the Select Board and Finance Committees are finalizing articles for consideration at Town Meeting.
The League of Women Voters invites you to attend its annual Town Meeting Issues Forum on Wednesday, April 3 at 7:30pm in the Senior Center. The purpose of the meeting is to inform the public about upcoming Town Meeting articles that would benefit from public discussion. Sponsors of these articles have an opportunity to explain the issues and the public can ask questions.
Iryna Priester will moderate the forum, which will be taped by WayCAM.
Another date to add to your calendar is Candidates Night, Wednesday, April 10. This will be the 69th year that the League of Women Voters of Wayland has provided a platform for residents to learn about the candidates for the various town offices. This meeting will be held in the Large Hearing Room with refreshments at 7:15 and the forum starting at 7:30.
