Wayland Buzz Spotlight on: State of the Schools (part 1)

As part of a new series this Spring, we delve into many aspects of Wayland’s place in the world. This week we interview school superintendent Arthur Unobskey. We’ll do a ‘health checkup’ and look at major developments of the past 18 months since he became superintendent. Topics include the change in school start times, going into effect this autumn; the search for a successor to long-time METCO Director Mabel Reid-Wallace, who resigned earlier this year; reports that families with special needs kids are coming to Wayland in larger numbers because of our program, and the implications; the projected drop in school population over the next 7-10 years; and other issues of importance to the Wayland Public Schools and residents. Please join us starting Sunday, March 17th.

The Buzz airs on Sundays and Tuesdays, at 10am and 6pm on your Public cable channel (Comcast Ch. 8; Verizon Ch. 37). And Online On-Demand anytime at our website: WayCAM.tv/buzz
