Town Meeting Assistance Needed

Using a purpose-built “Wayland Town Meeting Recorder” application that runs on a laptop PC, Wayland has been capturing the speaker, duration, and purpose for every motion, amendment, pro comment, con comment, question, and vote in every session of Wayland’s Town Meetings. Analysis of the resulting data has revealed opportunities to improve Town Meeting’s efficiency, and has enabled the accurate assessment of proposed changes. We seek one or more volunteers willing to learn the “Wayland Town Meeting Recorder” and use it to record data during Town Meeting. Previous PC experience is helpful, but more important is a willingness to be attentive and present for the entire meeting. If interested, please contact Moderator Dennis Berry at 508-655-1497 or
