Sudbury’s Save a Dog turns 20 years old

Metrowest Daily News 3/27/19: Sudbury’s Save a Dog turns 20 years old. In its 20 years of existence, Save a Dog Humane Society has saved 7,000 dogs, likely more. “We’re not really about the numbers,” said Shirley Moore, president and founder. Celebrating its anniversary this Thursday, the shelter started in 1999 with the primary focus of rescuing and re-homing abandoned dogs. For its first nine years, the shelter was ran out of Moore’s home, before it later moved to a facility and kennel on Boston Post Road.
