Alternative Jewish Education Program Open House

Looking for an alternative Jewish learning program for your child(ren)? Ma’yan Tikvah is holding their spring Open House for Y’ladim BaTeva on May 18th at 4:00 pm.

All are welcome to learn more about this outdoor, alternative Jewish learning, and bar/bah mitzvah educational program, as Rabbi Katy Allen leads a sample walk through the Upper Mill Brook Conservation Area. Afterwards, there will be light refreshments, as she shares more about the school and answers questions.

This is a great opportunity to simply attend and learn more about this innovative program, especially if your child learns best in non-traditional, educational settings, or there will be an opportunity to register your child(ren) for the program if you feel ready to do so.
Interfaith families are warmly welcome.

Location: Upper Mill Brook Conservation Area, 107 Concord Road, Wayland.
In the case of inclement weather, the open house will be held at the Peace Lutheran Church, which is by the trailhead.

Please RSVP for the Open House at: Rabbi@mayantikvah.org or by calling 508-358-5996

Y’ladim BaTeva, is run by Rabbi Katy Allen of Ma’yan Tikvah. It is an elementary-aged, Jewish learning program developed around a significant outdoor component. Rabbi Allen holds weekend outdoor classes, weekday online classes, and family Shabbat programs. Children learn Jewish values, selected prayers, study the Bible, sing songs, and learn basic Hebrew words and letters. Other benefits:
• Students and their families become part of a small informal Jewish community
• Jewish values are explored in a welcoming and nurturing environment
• Connections to Judaism are experienced through innovative and non-traditional, outdoor activities
