TOWN OF WAYLAND MEMORIAL DAY PROGRAM

May 27, 2019

Wayland’s Memorial Day Parade will form at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May 27, 2019, at theWayland Middle School, 201 Main Street. The parade steps off at 11:00 a.m. and will proceed along Route 27 to Route 30 to the Lakeview Cemetery in Cochituate.

EARLY MORNING CEREMONIES

Brief Tributes to Veterans in each Cemetery
8:30 a.m. Ceremony at Veterans Memorial Town Building
8:50 a.m.Ceremony at North Cemetery (Route 27 North)
9:00 a.m. Ceremony at Biet Olam West (Route 27 North)
9:15 a.m. Ceremony at South Cemetery (route 27 South)

12:30 p.m. Parade returns to the Wayland Middle School via Pemberton Road to
West Plain Street

Parade will be in two sections. Please see your Public Ceremonies Committee Member for your group’s line-up assignment.

In the event of rain, the service will be held in the Middle School Gymnasium at 11:00 a.m. Outside service will be held at Lakeview Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. if no change is made to the schedule due to weather.

NOTE: The Council on Aging van will depart the Wayland Town Building rear parking lot, at the rear door of the Senior Center, at 8:00 a.m. for the early morning ceremonies and non-marching Veterans. Additional non-marching Veterans may board at the parade staging area at the Middle School.
