Non-Profit Spotlight: Sudbury-Wayland-Lincoln Domestic Violence Roundtable
Sudbury-Wayland-Lincoln Domestic Violence Roundtable is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization of men and women incorporated in 1999. The goal of the Roundtable is to raise awareness about the issue of domestic violence through community education and networking and to improve the coordination between public and private services for victims and families touched by domestic violence.
It’s time for the 8th annual Community Concert Series in the Town Building Courtyard on Thursday evenings, 7 – 8 p.m., from Thursday, June 13 through Thursday, July 18 (no concert Thursday, July 4). Come enjoy a summer evening and fun music with friends and neighbors. Bring a lawn chair or blanket. (Concerts will be in the Large Hearing Room in uncooperative weather.)
Kicking off the series on June 13 will be Studio Two, a Beatles tribute band. June 20 features the Daybreakers playing rock & roll. On June 27 the Club Soda Band will play top 40s, and on July 11 our own Sudbury Valley New Horizons Band will present a wide range of audience favorites. Wrapping up the series on July 18 will the The Standards, playing oldies and rock.
Sponsored by the Council on Aging, this Community Concert Series is an opportunity to bring the generations together at a feel-good community event. The COA is very grateful to the series’ sponsors: Alkon & Levine, P.C., CPA; Avenu at Natick; Bret Leifer, Professional Numismatist; Traditions of Wayland; The Village Bank; Joanne Berry, Coldwell Banker of Weston; and Middlesex Savings Bank.
