Wayland Farmers’ Market Celebrates 15th season, opens June 26

The 15th season of the Wayland Summer Farmer’s Market begins on Wednesday, June 26 from 12-5pm and runs weekly through October 9.

Located in the front parking lot at Russell’s Garden Center on Route 20, the market is a wonderful opportunity to meet and support local farmers and food producers. Twenty vendors will join us for Opening Day.

Summer is a great time to introduce children to healthy eating and to prepare meals together as a family. Enjoy fresh, local vegetables, fruit, cheese, maple products, Samira’s Homemade authentic Lebanese spreads, eggs, granola, beef, chicken, pork, lamb, seafood and lobsters, fresh pasta and sauce, honey, baked goods, cannoli, flower bouquets, farm wine and cider, yarn, bagels, sauces and Sitzens Pet Treats. Reasons to Be Cheerful Chillwagon will join us weekly, serving ice cream.

Local vegetable and fruit farms participating include Brigham Farm (Concord), Land’s Sake Farm (Weston) and Lanni Orchards (Lunenberg). Meat producers: Laszlo Family Farm (Ashby) and Lilac Hedge Farm (Holden). Cheese makers: Chase Hill Farm (Warwick), Couët Farm & Fromagerie (Douglas), Foxboro Cheese (Foxborough), and West River Creamery (Londonderry, VT).

On the Edge Knife Sharpening will be on hand to sharpen your knives, garden tools, and scissors on Opening Day. We recommend that you sign up for our weekly email (in season only) so that you will know which vendors will attend that week.
